Antique Japanese Kutani Tea Cup with Wedding Tea Cup Gold Miniature Writing 2
A delightful antique Japanese wedding tea cup with lid.
It depicts all around the pot and the cover
a hundred poets of Japan. The decor has been totally
hand painted on a gold background.
The interior is extensively covered with brush writings
and there is the signature of the artist.
Saiji is the term given to this micro calligraphy. This art form was originated by Seizan Oda and passed down through the family to his descendants Kinsei Tamura and Keisei Tamura.
Condition: overall good antique condition: no repairs, no cracks, no hairlines.
