    Description

    Also known as "China Silk", these lightweight and breezy blank 8 mm Habotai scarves are perfect for dyeing and painting, because they are the most economical of all the silks. They pair great with our Jacquard Acid Dyes and make the perfect weight scarf for summer. We also have a kit available with silk scarf, 9 Colors of Dye and Instructions if you're new to dyeing Silk.
    The 11" x 60" and 8" x 72" size have hand rolled hems with 100% silk thread.
    The square sizes are unhemmed ready to dye and paint!
    If you're looking for a spotless even finish, we recommend you pre-wash in hot water and Synthrapol or Professional Textile Detergent, all silk before dyeing or painting to remove any leftover residue from the silk worms (Seracin) or fingerprints and other stuff that can cause the fabric to dye unevenly. (We of course, love that uneven unpredictable look.)
