Description

Pinolite/Pinolith rock from Austria. Beautiful sample, this rock is primarily composed of Dolomite, Magnesite and Graphite as well as I believe Calcite (did not test it) in this particular specimen.
The Magnesite fluoresces yellow and a vein of possible Calcite fluoresces blue under a Convoy S2 long wave UV light.

NOTE!
Photos taken with a 365nm Convoy2 filtered Long Wave UV light. You will need one similar as well to see the fluorescence. Cheap unfiltered long wave uv lights work ok but a filtered quality light gives preferable visual results. Thx.
