This is a bargain "grab bag" of bright RED and GREEN (calcite and willemite) pieces from Franklin NJ and the Sterling Hill Mine in Ogdensberg, NJ..  I have lots of rocks that are just sitting around, and I'll never have the time to photograph them all, so here is your opportunity to save BIG!  These locations are WORLD RENOWNED for some of the BRIGHTEST and PRETTIEST shortwave fluorescent rocks in the world!
The red is calcite, and the green is willemite.  These rocks often have oodles of other non-fluorescent minerals in them as well!  Often these contain andradite garnet, hendricksite, franklinite, magnetite, pink bustamite, galena, zincite, or many other pretty daylight minerals!
ALL the rocks WILL glow with the proper shortwave (258nm) light.  I pre-screen all rocks before including them in this offering.  You will NOT receive any rocks that do not glow!  If all you own is a blacklight FLASHLIGHT, DO NOT buy this offer!  You MUST have a fluorescent bulb filtered SHORTWAVE (258nm) UV light to see these colors!
The photo shown is intended ONLY as a representation of what you will receive, and are not the specific rocks you will receive, but are representative of the types and fluorescent colors you can expect.  Each clearance box will be somewhat different, but you should recognize the rocks as similar to those in the photo, (likely 6 to 12 rocks of various sizes) and the rocks will weigh at least 2 POUNDS (not ounces like some others sell) total. These rocks will NOT be labeled individually.
The size of the individual rocks will vary.  Some rocks contain more and brighter fluorescence than others.  What you see will also depend upon the quality and strength of the UV lamp you use.  These will only fluoresce in Shortwave UV.  Some willemite may also phosphoresce.  ALL rocks have been pre-screened for fluorescence.
I have larger rocks available too for making spheres etc., if desired, by special order.  Please inquire if larger sizes or amounts are desired.

This collection may include other minerals such as franklinite, magnetite, andradite garnet, hendricksite, microcline, among others.
These rocks will not be labeled.  This is what remains of odds and ends in bins that I have for sale, and should be viewed as such.  The size of the rocks will vary, and may include either large or small rocks, or a combination thereof.
NOTE: TYPICAL BLACKLIGHTS WILL NOT DISPLAY ANY COLOR.  YOU MUST HAVE A GOOD MINERAL LAMP.
Also, the intensity of the color will vary depending upon the strength of the lamp that you have.. I suggest you use a DRK Shortwave lamp (sold by Engenious Designs) to view the maximum color output of these rocks.  I do NOT recommend using a "wand" type shortwave lamp, nor any longwave or "blacklight" lamp for these rocks, as they may NOT show satisfactory (or any) color with those inferior lamps.
