Gorham Knickerbocker Etched Engraved Sterling Silver Napkin Ring As Is Read Plz.
I picked this up years ago. Never polished it before today. I am cracking up BC I always assumed it said STERLING LION ANCHOR G inside since it is obviously Gorham’s Knickerbocker Etched pattern. C1880, aesthetic. Morning Glory motif. But no inside it is marked STERLING 511 maybe? Not stamped for Gorham. Anybody else got a napkin ring in this pattern to compare???
1 and 3/4 inches tall. 1 and 3/4 inches in diameter. It weighs 1.60 ounces.
I put the PLEASE READ AS IS because.... did you guess before you clicked??? Monogram removal. Two areas got engraving and I think something was removed from each. *eye roll* tosses hands towards sky and begs to know WHY????????
Well it is what it is. Still a super rare piece in a pattern nobody even knows about unless you are a super cool one. Wink.
