Description
Up for bid is an outstanding Zunyite Crystal specimen from the Big Bertha Mine in Arizona. The first thing you notice about this specimen is the size of the crystals. Most Zunyite specimens from this location have crystals the size of a grain of sand. This specimen has a crystal 0.3” across! This specimen also has some yellow-orange fluorescing Apatite. These are just tiny specs that I only noticed in the close up pictures.I obtained this specimen from a deceased dealer’s estate so I was not able to get the whole story on this specimen. My best guess is this specimen came from David Shannon in Arizona. The matrix has been meticulously etched away to expose the crystal. I have some smaller specimens from him that show similar work.
