Vintage Oversized Human Thermometer
Here we have something I have not come across in my 35 years in business. We have a very well made 30”
long lucite human thermometer with an adjustable ribbon used to adjust the temperature reading. Apparently used as a medical teaching aid and overall has a 1940/50’s feel. The device fits securely and tightly into it’s original wooden box and possibly has a military origin, given the overall look of the box. The latch was made by Stanley so I am assuming an American origin.
Tell your friend or relative that they look a little “peekid” (my word) and then reveal this unit from behind your back ! I’ve done it to 3 people and I know it’s sorta corny, it brings a hearty laugh.
