VINTAGE CIRCA 1930s ERA, PAIR OF STERLING SILVER 925,
ENGRAVED "PETER" AND "MARY"
MODEL / PATTERN # 54 NAPKIN RINGS
MADE BY HERBST & WASSALL, NEW YORK, USA
THEY MEASURE 2-3/8" LONG x 1" WIDE x 3/4" TALL,
TOTAL WEIGHT OF BOTH IS 64.8 GRAMS
Each are engraved with the names PETER & MARY, otherwise, they show light wear from use and storage, including minor marks, scratches, and they retain a light level of original patina over the Sterling surface due to aging. They have nice shine and original polish finish as they are, are straight, not bent, with no major issues at all.
These are done in a plain, but yet very classy design that is timeless.  They are hallmarked on the inside STERLING 54, along with the winged star hallmark for the short lived historic USA silversmith, Herbst & Wassall (1901-1931), then of New York.
